Priceless and Worthless

Well ladies and gents it's that time of the year again. A time when everyone likes to go outside and experience something magical. It's when little kids help break their parents wallets. It's when a certain crowd comes out for a taste of a certain food. It when a little phenomenon called the beer gardens open. Yes I am talking about the Fair. Paige and I went to the fair Friday night. Before getting there I stopped at an ATM and took out $20. We got to the fair and walked around a bit. All in all, my $20 bought me: 2 footlong corndogs (delicious), 2 tickets to the freak show tent (amazing), and 1 36oz beer in the beer gardens (not all that it is cracked up to be). I think that the only tagline that could follow all that would be: PRICELESS.

Last night at work I heard the Chicken Dance again. This is becoming something that happens much too often. I want to know who composed this horrible tune. For some reason, now matter how old or young, everyone loves this stupid song. Why? Is it because everyone likes to eat chicken? No. Is is because everyone who doesn't dance and just taps their feet and moves their hands like to watch the "younger ones" get out on the dance floor while they sit in a corner and remember the times when they were young and could dance? No. Is it because it is always associated with weddings? Possibly. I don't know anyone other than myself would probably leave the room when that dreadful tune came on, and believe me, even if it was my own wedding, I would walk out for a while. Of course the only thing worse than the chicken dance is when they play YMCA right after it. In case everyone has forgotten, there are no YMCA's still open and functioning in America.
